Job Description

  • To develop and optimize the sales of one or more products to a defined number of Distributor accounts. Small accounts within a district/area, small national accounts or large strategic Distributor key accounts.

  • Has an indepth understanding of the customer strategy in the country and defines an account strategy that drives profitable high growth opportunities for Philips as well as operationally managing the execution. The goal is to maximizing the value (top- and bottom-line) of the short & long term business with the account for Philips.

  • Responsible for selling the company’s products; primary responsibility may include finding, generating and developing new distribution/retail partners in order to sell the company’s products to end-users.

  • Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within the distribution or retail sales channel.

  • Creates awareness and demand for company products

  • Customers may be geographic or named accounts.

  • Works as Distributor Manager on problems of moderate scope where the analysis of distributor data requires a review of a variety of factors using Root Cause Analysis.

  • The development of the solution requires a multidisciplinary approach and knowledge of basic distributor principles, theories and -concepts.

  • Formulates the solution for (technical) partial problems by combining previous experiences based upon technical analysis and distributor (feasibility) studies.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and < 5 years of related experience

  • May lead small distributor projects, managing a small number of people

  • Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

  • Has working knowledge of company products and services

  • Ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules.

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

  • Builds productive internal/external working relationships

  • Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
