NPI Manager (m/f)


  • The NPI Manager leads the overall industrialization process within Product Development and provides operational excellence know-how in the early phase, to the Technical Function Creation Project, to ensure product design requirements can be realized

  • NPI Leads are responsible for production and manufacturing releases at suppliers worldwide (globally) during the IPD until the Industrial Release.

  • With an End 2 End responsibility throughout the product lifecycle, additional tasks are: to ensure continuous documentation compliance, quality improvement and manufacturing flexibility in serial production with good and regular maintenance (incl. new launches and mid-life updates)


  • Technical education, preferably mechanical/industrial engineering degree

  • Social skills and experience with bigger and interdisciplinary teams

  • Fluent English skills

  • Ability to influence product architecture for optimized industrialization

  • Ability to optimize the product design for manufacturability (Process FMEA)

  • Ability to define industrial specifications for tools, molds and key components and review them with manufacturers (DFM/DFA/APQP)

  • Ability to assess and develop technical capabilities of suppliers (LEAN)

  • Experiences with Windchill Product Documentation and Change Management

  • Has wide ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Has expert level knowledge of company products and services.

  • Regularly interacts with senior management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers/suppliers.

  • Solves complex, abstract problems while balancing resource, schedule and financial factors.

  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of technical and manufacturing processes.

  • Travel-Index: approximately 20%
