Marketing Manager-Dental Professional
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Work in conjunction with the Senior Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing activities to drive market share gains in Canada, including managing the advertising, digital and promotional activities of the assigned product responsibilities.
You will be responsible to;
Cooperate with Sr. Managers to execute market research.
Analyze consumer research, customer research, channel trends, current market conditions and competitor information to unlock new insights that will drive competitive advantage. Effectively analyze Nielsen data to identify business issues and trends.
Monitor industry best practices
Assist Sr. Managers and global Category stakeholders to localize existing global product platforms
Project management: ensure full on-time and in full MIP deliverable.
Participate in cross-functional Brand and category reviews to identify issues and opportunities;
Assess and develop high quality Marketing activities.
Team up with other functions to facilitate channel / customer specific shopper marketing activities in line with National plans
Manage all aspects of print and digital production
Team up with Category, Finance and Sales Organizations to analyze product specific activities and promotions and recommend feasibility to Sr. Management.
Team up with Category and supply chain to optimize innovation deployment plan
Team up with Category and Supply team and sales organization and category management to manage SKU level forecasting methodologies and drive forecast accuracy.
Analyze the productivity of the marketing plans and projects, and recommend optimizations.
Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results.
Manage the marketing budget allocated to the specific activities assigned. Track brand support spending and monitor budget compliance.
Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
MROI (marketing return on investment), RCQ and key performance metrics.
Translates the midterm product roadmap into concrete product specifications for implementation by the sales organization and the category management organization in the different sales channels.
Work closely with Sales to execute effective promotional programs.
Establish effective working relationships and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies and partners.
Liaise with advertising and media agency in the development of advertising assets
Capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders
Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from Sr. Management and key constituencies regarding the quality of the plans / projects for the products / Brand.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Strong background in marketing of consumer products or durables (5+ years in progressively responsible marketing management positions)
-Analytical and strategic thinking applied within a marketing environment
Has demonstrated the ability to work effectively in highly matrixed multi-national teams, maintaining sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support or defend a position or idea in a clear, concise and persuasive manner. (proven stand up presentation skills)
Experience working with large retail customers and account teams
Working effectively with advertising agencies
Experience with the generation of analysis of marketplace data
Deep understanding and appreciation of the Canadian Retail Industry and its shifting trends and practices
Ability to balance numerous projects and prioritize effectively
Strong computer literacy: on standard industry programs; i.e. Microsoft office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
Bachelors degree required, preferably in marketing discipline, (Masters degree or MBA strongly preferred).
