Philips Clinical Applications Specialist - MR in Melbourne (AU), Australia


Your Challenge

This position is responsible for providing clinical education and applications support to potential and existing Philips Healthcare customers. The role requires a strong working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders since Clinical Applications Specialists play a crucial role throughout the entire lifecycle of the Philips MRI equipment.

Your Responsibilities

Clinical Applications Training

  • Deliver a high level of clinical education and applications support to potential and existing Philips customers;

  • Train customers in applying the best possible clinical procedures and protocols to achieve optimal usage of the delivered MRI equipment;

  • (re-)Train customers in case of new releases and or versions in the operating procedures of the equipment;

  • Set up application training schedules, in close cooperation with the customer to address particular product and customer needs;

  • Supply training material as part of the training schedule;

  • Be aware and to manage at all times the safety standards required by the company, including radiation protection, health and safety regulations;

  • Ensure that all clinical applications training, with both new and existing customers, complies with the company’s quality policy

Clinical Education & Events

  • In consultation with the Clinical Applications Manager, MRI Business Line and Marketing team, successfully initiate and implement education events for the MRI install base.

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Support the sales process with equipment demonstrations and presentations which highlight key marketing messages;

  • Work closely with the sales team to identify leads, assist with tender submissions, and promote the product range at customer sites, trade shows and educational events;

  • Report customer feedback, equipment performance and any issues to the appropriate Account Manager (AM) and Field Service Engineer (FSE);

  • Liaise with the MRI BIU/Factory to report software bugs and customer recommendations regarding improvements and future product development;

  • Maintain accurate customer install database including relevant customer contact details.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensure that all customers are provided with the highest quality training and attention so that each customer is fully satisfied with the level of service provided by Philips Healthcare;

  • Maintain excellent communication with customers and demonstrate timely responses to customer requests, issues and clinical application queries;

  • Build, maintain and enhance strong working relationships with all existing and potential customers including designated luminary sites

  • Conduct regular customer visits.

We are looking for:

  • Post Graduate studies in Radiography with at least 5 years work experience

  • Comprehensive clinical experience with at least 4 years’ full time MRI experience

  • Previous experience in presentations and training

  • Superior customer centric approach / skills

  • Outstanding relationship building and communication skills

  • High levels of motivation, energy and a drive to achieve results

  • A willingness to travel across ANZ

  • Desire to be in a commercially focused role, partnering the business
