Philips Sr Operations Materials Inventory Controller in Menlo Park, California
As the Senior Operations Materials Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for specific projects to be performed relating to the materials inventory and buyer/planning support of production. Your duties will be performed on specific projects to support manufacturing of the Phoenix Systems.
ERP Implementation Project: Completion of ERP project elements and oversee implementation of the ERP system to manage procurement and materials transfer - support in the development, implementation and execution of ERP /MES
Updating of Phoenix Materials inventory system to comply with Philips ERP and PLM system
Production distribution and shipments – preparation of Packing lists, CoC documentation and preparation and planning of commercial shipments
Receiving and processing materials as well as inventory management (cycle count and physical inventory, etc)
Provide daily progress reports and reorder point reports to purchasing management
Assisting in the procurement of materials required for production and R&D/engineering.
Assisting in the management of supplier relationships, including coordination of materials, and NCMR, investigations as they arise
Assist in the planning, scheduling and and monitoring of movement of materials through entire Production cycle for Production at Menlo Park as well as coordination of materials for contract Manufacturers
Inventory management of materials and production supplies in support of production and finance
Development and maintenance of Cycle Count and Physical Inventory Program, including Kanban in production areas
Support, assist, and perform A/P and related activities. Accounts Payable support on PO /invoice
Reconciliation, purchasing issues, and supporting Finance as required
Support Purchasing, including drafting and sending POs as required
Prepare necessary documentation for external shipments (FedEX, UPS) including freight/pallet shipments
Determine proper shipping methods and costs
Other Quality System /Materials/Production related projects as assigned by the Sr Director of Operations/Quality
High School diploma required
Minimum of 8 years of materials/planner/buyer, and clerical/inventory experience.
Knowledge of company procedures and ability to use tracking/reporting databases
Basic reading, writing and math ability
Knowledge of supply chain management
Familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PPT. Working knowledge of ERP based systems (QAD, SAP, etc).
