Philips Software Unit Manager in Petah Tikva, Israel


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead a team of Software engineers (SW and Automation QA) working on an enterprise Imaging Informatics Platform based around Java Spring and Cloud Foundry. Design, implement and test at components/sub-system level in the healthcare IT domain.

You are responsible for

  • Manage a team of 10-15 Engineers (SW and Automation QA) working on an enterprise Imaging Informatics Platform

  • Responsible for the execution backlog creation and management.

  • Responsible for the design, realization (of schematics, drawings and codes), integration and test of a (sub)system, component or module on the basis of design specifications in accordance with the functional specifications;

  • Takes initiative to work out design issues.

  • Conforms and manage the departmental and project procedures and processes

  • Work is done around Scaled Agile methodologies

You are a part of a team working on a cloud enterprise Imaging Informatics Platform intended to help internal Philips business units to get products to market faster as well as external 3rd party developers that want to adopt the platform, the future of Healthcare.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science

  • 5+ years of experience in SW development in Java

  • At least 2 years' experience in Java Spring Framework.

  • 3+ years' experience as R&D Team Leader.

  • Experience and knowledge in TDD.

  • 3+ years of experience in large scale enterprise system development Server Side (based on Java technologies)

  • Automated QA team management experience – advantage

  • Strong familiarity with web services design on AWS technology
