Philips Genome Informatics for Oncology is an innovative software organization within the Philips Healthcare IT division. Our objective is to define and implement the next generation Genome Informatics end-to-end solutions to enable clinical deployment of next generation sequencing and connect genomic information with all the relevant clinical information for clinical decision making with streamlined user experience.

A Release train engineer guards the team’s time, to ensure continuous delivery is possible as well as process and documentation guarding. Ensures that appropriate SW Quality plans are made that include all stages of the software life cycle and supports SW Quality Plan design of health suit applications.


  • Act as the Agile RTE/Scrum Master for Genomics Informatics scrum teams.

  • SW development for 50% of the time.

  • Helps the team plan and meet their daily and iteration objectives

  • Help\solve tech. issues\blockers with the team

  • Lead large\complicated development efforts technically

  • Conduct development documentation control and approval process for regulatory submission

  • Works to remove internal and external impediments in the Scrum team

  • Facilitates continuous improvement with regular inspect , Adapt and team retrospection

  • Interface and Participate in Scrum of Scrum

  • Conduct deliverables demo internally and externally to PLM/Architect and potential clients.

  • Is responsible to ensure identification of the resources (People, HW) required to meet the goals.

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, integration and testing - implement full-stack application and technologies to assist power Genomics Informatics user experiences

  • Comply and align with software development professionalism standards within the team (processes and methodologies, quality of requirements, design, coding and testing).

  • Make sure the team write clean, high quality, solid, readable code that scales.

  • Promote trust, openness and leverage external capabilities locally and globally


  • MS or Bachelor’s degree in software engineering/computer science – Must

  • OOP understanding – Must

  • Java and/or AnugalrJS experience – Must

  • At least 5 Years as a SW Engineer with at least 1 year of experience as a Scrum Master\Team leader.

  • Experience in Medical device product development (familiar with regulation processes etc.) – Major Advantage.

  • Cloud development experience - Major advantage

  • Experience with web development – an advantage

  • Excellent problem solving skills and drive to learn
