Job Description Business Analyst Philips University / Cornerstone on Demand

Your challenge

Within this role, you will be responsible for all IT Business Analyst activities related to the Philips Learning platform (Philips University). This includes the main platforms like Cornerstone on Demand.

Being part of a global team, you will be closely working technically and functionally with the HR IT MDT, global PPS teams, COE’s and SME’s providing them feasible solutions on new requirements, guiding projects and impact assessments on multiple domains.

Your responsibilities

IT Delivery is responsible for building and deploying end to end IT solutions for business and markets. This will increasingly involve configuring and integrating standard applications (the full stack including infrastructure), rather than customizing or developing software. Input for these solutions comes from the Sector/Function/Markets CIO and Platform & Architecture organizations. The Business Analyst University is an integral part of the project team translating Business Requirement for HR processes into IT Solutions.

  • Responsible that system and business requirements are clearly defined, documented, communicated, tested and implemented.

  • Accountable of maintaining that deliverables meet requirements w.r.t. reliability, availability, manageability, performance, security and compliance and also checking the content of the release prior to release and manages interrelation aspects with other applications.

  • Interact and communicate with other projects and partners across work streams in both the business and the technical areas with the ability to keep discussions at the appropriate level of abstraction, including planning of life cycle of the project and milestones, identifying key project activities and data integrity issues and communication to key stakeholders

  • Handling multiple requests/demand at the same time and set the correct priorities in a challenging international global environment

  • The IT BA role is focused on the learning domain, but could be extended to related areas

Your team

IT Delivery applies the Agile/Scrum methodology and manages external partners on an output basis. Competence centers and sourcing will be organized around Platforms: Idea to Market, Market to Order, Order to Cash/Fulfillment business applications and the enabling Platforms. Key roles in the Competence Centers are the Competence Group Manager, Team Lead, Business Analyst, Technical Lead and Senior Project Manager. The Business Analyst is a counterpart of the Business representation for functional requirements and works together with IT Tech leads and 3rd parties (Vendor) who develop IT solutions.

We are looking for

  • Bachelor or University degree and 5+ years of experience in various eLearning environments

  • 2+ years project experience in the areas of Cornerstone on Demand is preferred, certification is a plus

  • Functional and technical experience with business analysis, requirements gathering abilities and documentation

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and ability to understand and complete delegated tasks.

  • Experience with system validation processes (e.g. FDA compliance)

  • Self-motivated, innovative person with analytical, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to changes and new ideas

  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training

  • Working with an E2E responsibility mindset

  • Candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, and have strong written and verbal communication skills
