Philips H&S Analytics Leader in Pune, India

In this role, you have the opportunity to

ensure that appropriate metrics and their analysis provides timely, accurate information that will drive performance improvement at all Philips locations and activities in scope and that programs are properly implemented, supported and audited.

Your responsibilities

Philips aspires to be best in class in terms of Health and Safety Performance. In order to achieve a global standard of performance Philips requires the collection of data on Health and Safety Performance and analyse it in order to set Goals and Objectives that will take Philips performance to best in class. Performance data must include both proactive metrics and reactive metrics (such as Total Case Rate) that can be used to measure performance against peers. Data must meet the minimum requirements of Statistical Significance and will be collected at Manufacturing Operations, Research and Development Operations, Offices, Warehouses, Field Service Operations, other Customer facing activities and any other activities Philips engages in. The Data analysis should follow Lean and Six Sigma principles and provide deep insight into root causes of defects so that effective strategies and operational controls can be implemented. Analysis of data will be used to set Strategic Objectives as well as the Annual Operating Plan. All metrics must be aligned to the wider Operations Group metrics, must be easily accessible and have a drill down capability from the highest levels to site or sub unit level. Metrics must be available in the shortest time frame practicable, ideally in real time and must be held on Philips approved platforms. The H&S Analytics Leader is responsible for ensuring that appropriate metrics and their analysis provides timely, accurate information that will drive performance improvement at all Philips locations and activities in scope and that programs are properly implemented, supported and audited.

  • Manage the H&S IT Management Tool (Cr 360 or similar) to ensure full functionality of its capabilities is maintained at the site user level and that Data Collection is completed to allow key performance Indicators (KPI) to be calculated in real time . Be able to customise fields and process to the limit permitted by contract

  • Complete detailed Data analysis using statistical analysis to identify trends.

  • Set up and maintain KPI dashboards at all levels to provide consistent accurate data

  • Manage analytics team

  • Track CA closure and provide reports on progress

  • Maintain leadership H&S Dashboards

  • Model G&O / KPI for the next year’s performance based on extrapolating current performance and factoring improvements

  • New acquisitions are integrated into the Philips Safety program in an agreed timeframe

  • Support the H&S leadership team in managing H&S in Philips as required.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with > 5 years of related experience in Health & Safety

  • Works on Health & Safety problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

  • The development of the solution requires a multi-disciplinary approach and knowledge of Health & Safety principles, -theories and -concepts.

  • Formulates the solution for (technical) partial problems that cannot be found by combining previous experiences but by composing newly acquired Health & Safety knowledge.

  • May lead multi-disciplinary Health & Safety change projects, managing a number of people. Works independently and provides consultative advice within specific functional areas.

  • Introduces Health & Safety methods/procedures that are new for the organization. Applies advanced Health & Safety process principles to multiple tasks.

  • Proficient in area of specialization and contributes in other disciplines. Determines feasibility of Health & Safety concepts or projects. Has basic knowledge of related disciplines.
