Philips Supply Chain Manager in Rancho Cordova, California

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the supply chain and logistics operational performance of the Rancho Cordova site operations ensuring key performance metrics are identified and successfully managed and met.

  • Lead all supply chain and logistics operational activities, related processes and staff in the development and execution of a high-performing operational team.

  • Develop programs, projects, goals and metrics for the Supply Chain & Logistics organization leading to the appropriate level of operational performance, Inventory Optimization; Indirect effectiveness & efficiency; Assurance of Supply improvements ultimately reducing number of supply issues to the market.

  • Responsible for sharing of best practices, training of team members and compliance with supply chain and logistics processes and standards in alignment with the Global Supply Chain organization.

  • Accountable to manage inbound material flow and plan transport and deliver outbound products in a timely and accurate manner, ensure continuous improvement of warehouse performance.

  • Responsible for the warehouse/distribution operations and managing the security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review, as also audit of incoming and outgoing shipments.

  • Responsible for purchasing activities in support of production build schedules. Plan purchases to MRP requirements and execute supplier POs. Develop purchasing strategy for key suppliers.

  • Partner with procurement and suppliers to create a process flow of materials into the warehouse, driving efficiency and effectiveness of receiving and inventory storage.

  • Establish components inventory management process, to include, but not limited to, managing safety stock levels, new BOM items inventory, parts inventory, etc. Set and manage annual inventory reduction target.

  • Accountable for material cost, short and long-term assurance of supply, material availability for production/shipments, supplier delivery performance, compliance to the quality system as well as all purchasing related information and data management.

  • Support new component planning and purchasing for new products.

  • Manage/support introduction of new components into production through phase-in activities.

  • Manages phase-in/phase-out product activities in close coordination with cross-functional New Product Introduction teams to ensure effective and efficient execution

  • Play a key role in maintaining and effectively utilizing planning tools in ERP system. Work with Global Supply Chain Director in implementation of ERP supply chain parameters for effective MRP planning.

  • Manage ERP system process and changes related to inventory control.

  • Provide functional leadership for programs & activities to ensure continuous supply of material to meet production / delivery plans throughout the product life cycle.

  • Monitor and evaluate internal controls to meet regulatory agency and business requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, GMP, ISO, trade compliance and all quality, safety and regulatory requirements

  • Build capabilities on Philips Excellence Practices: Awareness and Lean Foundation

  • Create and manage budget for department

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's of Science, from an accredited institution, in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or closely related discipline. MBA a plus.

  • Requires a minimum of ten (7) years’ experience that includes: in-depth understanding of Purchasing, Logistics operations, inventory management; preferably in the medical device industry.

  • ERP system experience required; Hands-on experience with SAP/MES preferred

  • Knowledge of SOX, GMP, FDA, and MDD requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency with the latest MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related electronic tools for editing, documenting, tracking and communicating.

  • APICS CPIM/CSCP Certification preferred.

  • Lean Master certification is a plus

  • Must possess excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking, with a high level of energy and self-motivation

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal and influence abilities.

You are responsible for

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
