Philips Product Manager, Systems and Software in San Diego, California
As Product Manager, Systems and Software, you will develop and execute product plans involving the company’s next generation flagship imaging systems, lifecycle programs, and ongoing support for existing systems. Use your strong business sense and customer insights to drive a world-class user experience with maximum business value.
This position may be located in Rancho Cordova, CA or San Diego, CA .
Lead upstream marketing for assigned products to translate customer needs into clear requirements and inputs for the product development process
Collect voice-of-customer feedback from various stakeholders to inform product design and feature sets
Own the business case for assigned products and update assumptions at stage gates
Interface with engineering to clarify and prioritize product requirements, feature sets, and user-centered design choices during the development process
Support product testing, arrange, and conduct product validations
Ensure consistent and clear communication with cross-functional project team to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery meeting project objectives
Support Sr. Product Manager in development of 5-year strategic plan and product roadmap, working with other business units and geographies, ensuring that systems roadmap is aligned with software and disposables, and meets overall business objectives
Lead global marketing plan development and work with geographies on regional plans to ensure excellence in new product introductions
Lead cross-functional effort for new product introductions
Support global product communications and provide assistance for the downstream needs of global sales and marketing organizations where extra support is needed
Interface with education and training department to develop high quality sales training materials
Work with other business units and regional marketing leaders to ensure the launch plan and execution is meeting business objectives
Provide lifecycle product management and sustaining engineering support
Develop and execute end of life product plans that maximize upgrades and value of system placements globally
Coordinate demand planning and inventory tracking to ensure the needs of the geographies and market segments are met
Serve as primary marketing core team member for sustaining engineering projects
Specific Skill Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline
5 or more years of medical device experience; interventional cardiology or radiology experience preferred
Capital equipment experience; medical imaging or diagnostic equipment preferred
Experience with software development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
Demonstrated success launching new products and technologies into the market
Proven track record of taking initiative and being a self-starter
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence across matrixed organization
Ability to represent Volcano at professional/customer engagements in a competent manner
Proficient software skills across all standard programs (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); salesforce.com experience helpful
