Neuro Diagnostics is part of the Emerging Business group, which acts as a new business incubator inside of the larger Philips HealthTech umbrella. We have an unrelenting focus on meaningful product introduction, new market development and growth performance. We require dynamic and highly motivated sales team members to help us build a leadership position in neuro mapping and guidance. Speed and change will be two of our biggest assets and you must be comfortable in such an environment. Candidates must be highly effective communicators, capable of building partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and physician customers.

Position Overview:

Philips Emerging Business is looking for a Global Sales Leader to build and lead a new Neurology/Neurosurgical focused sales channel. The new business will focus on technologies designed to deliver a more definitive diagnosis and to better guide therapy in patients suffering from some of the most challenging and impactful neurologic disorders including Epilepsy, Parkinson’s, TBI, Depression, Addiction and more.

Neuro Dx is part of the Emerging Business group which acts as a new business incubator inside of the larger Philips HealthTech umbrella. We have an unrelenting focus on meaningful product introduction, new market development and growth performance. Our goal is to create an entirely new business and channel inside of Philips. Our leadership team, which you will be a part of, will chart the course and execute each step of the way.

The Head of Global Sales will report directly to the General Manager, Neuro Diagnostics based in San Diego, CA. This role is responsible for architecting a global sales channel including direct sales, customer support and market specific distribution. We require a dynamic and highly motivated sales leader with strengths in communication, recruiting and adaptability. Speed and change will be two of our biggest assets and this individual must be comfortable in such an environment. This candidate must also be a strong negotiator and capable of building partnerships across hospitals, office clinics, Integrated networks, industry partners and especially other Philips businesses.

The role will require significant travel, both domestic and international and be based in the U.S.

Proximity to the business unit’s HQ in the San Diego area is a plus, but not a requirement .

The map of the neuro frontier is uncharted today. We are looking for a passionate, tireless member of our Leadership team to help build this business..

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ability to attract, build, and retain key talent.

  • Grow commercial sales while building the commercial sales team.

  • Establish key sales commercial and operations plans including processes and strategies for: distribution, contracting, business planning, sales comp., forecasting, budgeting, and KPI selection.

  • Comfortable and effective at leading within a new business group; helping establish necessary process when needed.

  • Create a true team atmosphere of accountability, loyalty, camaraderie, and recognition

  • Ensure sales efforts align with and support organizational strategy

  • Be the voice of the customer in strategic planning

  • Develop and leverage win-win alliances and partnerships within the greater Philips organization

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, key hospital stakeholders, and strategic partners

  • Effectively communicate value and vision to customers while simultaneously enlisting customers to partner with Philips to change neurology care; viewed as a leader by customers.

Your Profile:

  • BA/BS Degree with MBA preferred

  • Medical Device/Equipment/Hospital sales experience required

  • Neurosurgical and/or Neurology sales experience required

  • Strong track record of sales team leadership and success required

  • Experience building sales organizations, including sales operations and commercial strategy

  • Ability to manage fast-paced, changing environment

  • Working in team atmosphere / Cross functional experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that translate globally

  • Ability and Interest to travel and be in front of customers at every opportunity

  • Integrity

  • Passion for wanting to improve patient lives, especially in the most challenging neuro spaces
