Philips Reliability Engineer in Shanghai, China
Working with product develop team and dedicated on new developed product potential risk detecting and then perform the high acceleration reliability qualification to find out the failure mode or high risk components.
Improving or establish the reliability evaluation method base on different product application.
Guiding team to follow the reliability design process and then delivery product reliability target.
Building team capability on product reliability design and implement.
Working with product developing team on possibility research and risk detecting in preliminary design scheme through DFMEA and history data.
Working on the preliminary product and finalized product qualification plans, implementation and reliability testing.
Tracking on the reliability testing process and solving the related testing process issues.
Presenting high level reliability progress and status reports on regularly project meeting and periodically product developing review meeting to top management team.
Taking the knowledge accumulation work based working on reliability testing and product failure analysis, documented with formal report.
Working with project team on DFMEA work and any nonscheduled product reliability related review.
Guiding team to performing the reliability design and verification process, e.g. sample tear down, process recording data and all components wear analysis work, failure analysis is the focused work during this phase.
Guiding team to analyzes preliminary engineering-design concepts of major product, recommend design or test methods, that using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies.
Guiding team to create and maintain reliability design plan, verification protocol, report and root cause failure analysis. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Electro-mechanical, Electronic, or other appropriate technical discipline.
5+ years related job experience in reliability or components engineering in product testing and quality assurance, preferably in medical device industry or household electrical appliances.
Must have thorough knowledge of one or more quality and reliability tools, techniques, and methods (e.g., 6 sigma, DMAIC, FMEA, Weibull analysis, Reliability analysis, Reliability Test Plans, FRACAS).
Must have strong logistic and analyzing ability, clear thinker.
Must have good problem solving and analytical skills.
Must have good oral and written communication skills (including public presentation skills).
Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Must be enthusiastic, positive and effective in building working relationships with cross functional teams.
Good verbal and written skills in Mandarin and English.
