Philips Advanced Mechanical Engineer in Shenzhen, China
Responsible for medical device product development and mechanical design, product mechanical design proposal, organize to review with cross-function team Responsible for the design of Plastic, Metal part, and cable, label, package design, output the BOM of mechanical parts. Analyze device structure, evaluate and design a reasonable product cost; track on the follow-up product cost optimization work. Responsible for the control and confirmation work on product part and material, in order to ensure the productive efficiency of the product design. Responsible for the compilation of mechanical test validation protocols and implementation of specific test in the development process of product. Responsible for compilation work of the specific mechanical design programs of product Responsible for the mechanical design verification according verification protocols Make the plan of project or task with PM or by himself.
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Design and maintain product mechanical system, subsystem and components, and responsible for related verification and validation.
Be responsible for product ID design to meet product usability requirements.
Be responsible for product mechanical design to meet product specification, performance, reliability, standard and regulatory requirements.
Be responsible for product mechanical verification and validation to analyses and verifies product performance.
Finalizes the design specifications, mechanical drawings, and writes test scenarios’ for the developed modules or components.
Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way and is responsible for keeping the costs of the activities in line with the calculated budget.
Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed mechanical parts or product.
Combines existing and/or purchased modules into components, which can be integrated into the subsystem.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor degrees or above, mechanical Engineering preferred
More than 5 years’ working experiences in mechanical product system or subsystem design, Experience in medical device design and strong medical IEC standard preferred. 3. Competences/Skills:
a) Proficient in using structure design software, such as Pro-E、CAD and so on.
b) Being familiar with the commonly used plastic material and metal material, comprehend the processing technology and structure of mold.
c) Coordinating the project group to ensure the project schedule, solve problems actively
d) Being familiar with the material characteristics (including RoHS, REACH, etc.)
e) Good English and Chinese skills in writing and communication is a MUST.
