Your Challenge

Philips is a diversified health and well-being company, focused on improving people’s lives through meaningful innovations. The HR division is currently hiring for a Payroll intern to join Philips People Services (PPS) team.

PPS supports all employees’ operation matters and the team supports 17 countries in Asia region. As part of this internship, you will be exposed to HR operational excellence. You will also have an overview of the latest HRIS systems used by many MNCs and be part of the shared service team which is the back bone of HR operations.

Your Responsibilities

As part of this internship, the selected intern will work with the payroll team to review processes and ensure compliance of payroll and taxation for international population. Below will be the key deliverables:

  • Create a documentation and guide on the payroll and tax reporting for STA/FBT

  • Define key processes, timeline and tax reporting guideline on the following areas: 1) Requirement for payroll and tax reporting 2) Implication and risk on non-compliance 3) Double tax agreement

  • Process map and documentation

  • Conduct knowledge sharing with rest of team members

To be considered, you should possess the following:

  • Holds a relevant degree; ideally with specialization in Finance & Accounting

  • Enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment

  • Process driven and has an eye for detail

  • Experience in handling projects would be an added advantage
