The Q&R Project Quality Assurance Manager secures that the quality processes, tools and methods used within the Q&R Program Management Office portfolio are performed in compliance with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and other methodologies (e.g., SIM, PEPF). A limited scope of regulatory compliance requirements will also be reviewed within the responsibility of this role.
You are responsible for:
Balance the portfolio’s objectives versus quality and regulatory demands, while securing customer satisfaction is reached for each project.
Engage with Program Directors and Project Managers to ensure that quality oversight activities within projects are started at the right time, respected throughout the project lifecycle and driven until a successful launch of the project.
Assemble and coordinate audit teams, prepare audit plans, lead audits, write audit reports and follow-up actions.
Proactively identify issues and find appropriate contacts/assistance/answers and apply solutions, or escalate as necessary.
Establish and monitor the portfolio’s quality assurance infrastructure routines according to the Philips Quality Management System and accepted rules and standards
Design, maintain and drive the Project Quality Assurance infrastructure in support of the Q&R Program Management Office. Be principally responsible for creating the systems that measures and controls the quality of all projects in the PMO's portfolio.
Responsible for review and approval at appropriate Quality Gate stages, as appropriate
Utilize appropriate level of authority to intervene if any activity is perceived to have a negative impact on project execution within Quality guidelines
Develop methodology to perform internal project quality assurance audits and reviews on regular intervals
Be an adviser to the Head of PMO and Senior Leadership by:
acting in a consultative fashion to implement audit plans / strategy and maintaining annual internal audit schedule.
assisting in the development and communication of broader organizational goals.
taking calculated risks to move the department or team forward.
balancing the interests of own group with the interests of the organization.
working with others to identify and remove barriers to success.
recommend preventative actions or process changes, based on knowledge of the PMO's function
Participate in continuous improvement project teams, determine effectiveness of improvement activities and applicability to own team.
Performs timely, detailed, and independent internal Quality Management System (QMS), project-focused audits to assess regulatory compliance to applicable local and international regulations/standards and Philips requirements.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role in a Medical Device organization
Experience creating and managing a Quality Assurance program
Build Consensus and Community: Lead by example in providing a supportive, collaborative and respectful environment where sharing of any kind (e.g. information, resources, talent, ideas) is encouraged; foster an approachable environment of communication and relationship building
Critical Thinking: Skilled in critical thinking, negotiation and stakeholder management

Ability to effectively communicate detailed information and strategic decisions, and respond to questions from project stakeholders of all levels, including C-Suite Members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Language
Ability to draw out organizational requirements from and intelligently drive decision making with stakeholders
Ability to direct and influence others to work within and deliver under rigorous timelines
Commitment to sharing information transparently with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Talent to work independently and with minimal supervision while meeting all deliverables (includes working well remotely or in a virtual environment)
