In this role, you have the opportunity to

Serve as business manager & advisor to the Area Vice President or Senior Sales Management team. Main responsibilities are to coordinate overall strategy & execution for the sales team, to connect with functional areas in the organization to understand issues that impact the field sales team and to help achieve divisional goals.

Aggregates data from multiple sources to perform detailed analysis of business performance. Interrogates data, generates insights and observations that lead to actionable progress within the business. Provides standard & customized reporting solutions and data metric analysis that may identify business trends and results. Utilizes data analysis to explain business issues and financial implications (revenue and profitability), recommend improvements, or enable business unit to improve performance. Works with within a dedicated business segment, cross-functionally, to analyze market level, and product level trends with the goal of accomplishing key business objectives. Identifies gaps in information, and seeks external data sources, where necessary, to supplement information to arrive at source of truth. Leads, as necessary, research with the goal of influencing the segment strategy.

You are responsible for

  • Build and maintain economic models which will help create scenarios, sensitivity and predictive analytics to further the business segment’s value proposition and profitability.

  • Ensure pricing and plans lead to profitable revenue and margin growth for the overall business segment.

  • Collaborate with marketing product managers, and program management leadership to identify and implement new approaches to accurately assess the business.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve and simplify processes across value proposition and all channels.

  • Evaluate business model risks, and help to facilitate detailed financial risk management on the portfolio to plan; communicate them to management.

  • Develop and produce departmental reports, dashboards regarding product strategy and analysis, profitability, historical reporting, and financial analysis.

  • Research and gather business and financial information regarding business results. Perform basic ad hoc analyses to support business decision making. Provide feedback and recommendations to management regarding results.

  • Design and implement complex and highly specialized models and tools to support business decisions based on data and business needs.

  • Monitor key sales metrics to identify business drivers and trends that impact the Area’s performance. Then assist in developing strategies to address issues

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business and its functions, processes, and operations – the businesses’ product lines, and understand their use and opportunity.

  • Participate in the planning of implementation of new projects, products, and plans to achieve business objectives; assist in developing project plans.

  • Creation of customer-facing content (quarterly business reviews)- individual facilities

  • One point of contact for all internal groups to support all AVP issues/requests/follow ups

  • Make data actionable; Sales Analyst generates data, ZBM explains the impact to the Zone

  • Participate in a proactive manner on area management team calls on a regular basis and provide updates/solutions on any pending field issues/problems

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in business, finance or a related mathematics disciple; MBA preferred - with a minimum of 7 years of experience, including reporting and data analysis experience.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills required.

  • Must have a good understanding of the medical device environment to effectively respond to market concerns and provide financial / analytical support for products.

  • Field sales or field clinical experience preferred

  • Proficient software skills across all standard programs; experience a plus.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary.

  • Proven strategic planning skills in a complex environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to acquire technical and business process knowledge and skills quickly.

  • Excellent and concise analytical and problem-solving skills; must be able to learn new concepts quickly.

  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills.

  • Advanced Excel skills.
