The Group Legal Compliance team has a global responsibility for a variety of legal compliance topics such as antitrust, export controls, data protection, privacy, healthcare compliance and anti-corruption. It counsels internal Philips clients on a wide array of issues, it initiates and coordinates litigation in numerous jurisdictions, and it is responsible for compliance programs in these areas. For its team in Amsterdam, Philips has a vacancy for an anti-corruption lawyer.
Advising business clients on a daily basis on questions related to anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) matters;
Advising business clients on measures to mitigate ABAC risks in commercial transactions;
Identifying and addressing ABAC risks related to M&A activities and other strategic business transactions;
Advising business clients and Internal Audit on questions regarding third parties due diligence;
Participating in internal investigations on compliance matters;
Performing ABAC risk assessments and compliance program evaluations;
Evaluating and developing written ABAC policies and procedures;
Designing employee awareness programs and e-learnings on ABAC topics;
Working at the Philips Legal Function, you will be at the heart of our global company. Philips Legal Function spans a global network of some 250 professionals operating as one integrated, internal law firm for Philips' businesses worldwide advising on all legal matters relevant to Philips.
The Group Legal Compliance team consists of senior legal professionals and subject matter experts responsible for compliance topics such as antitrust, export controls, healthcare compliance and anti-corruption.
We are looking for
We are looking for a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic anti-corruption lawyer who has 7+ years’ experience in a law firm or other relevant organization with demonstrable broad experience in a variety of matters pertaining to anti-corruption.
We expect you to be a team player who is determined to achieve high-quality, business oriented results.
Experience with ABAC due diligence as part of M&A processes is preferred.
We expect you to be able and willing to take rational but bold decisions under time pressure.
You have experience in dealing with complicated matters and you are able to work independently with demanding clients and senior management.
As you will be working closely together with colleagues from all parts of Philips, as well as with fellow Philips in-house lawyers, external counsel, economists and regulators, excellent client management and communication skills in English is a must.
