Philips Business Transformation Leader - Precision Diagnosis in Amsterdam, Netherlands


In this role, you have the opportunity to

drive the overall business transformation portfolio and the enablement of BG performance improvement activities in the BG, as well as create and drive towards successful execution of the business transformation roadmap following and enabling the strategic business priorities in the BG as agreed to from Hoshin Process. You will also embed transformation initiatives through continuous improvement, and drive a culture of Performance Management in the BGs.

You are responsible for

  • Defining with BG MT, the BG’s Business Transformation strategy, including selection of target areas, priority setting between programs when needed, effective execution of improvement methodologies using Hoshin process

  • Acting as a gatekeeper within BG by bringing transparency around all business transformation initiatives and working with the central teams to set the right priorities and sequence based on the business objectives and KPIs (examples of KPIs include:Sales, EBITA, Working Capital. Cost of non-Quality, Time to Market, NPS)

  • Being an active member of the BG Business Transformation (BT) Management Team; supporting BG CEO in leading effective operating reviews to ensure problem solving at BG Level to act on "red" KPIs

  • Establishing culture of continuous improvement, Lean Leadership and sustainable Lean Behaviour throughout all leadership levels

  • Leading the organization’s Philips Excellence resources, including Lean Experts, Lean Masters, E2E Transformation Manager, Black Belts & improvement program/project managers

  • Managing pipeline of talent for the BT function

  • Managing and coaching BT team across BG

  • Planning BG Kaizen Events, including President's Kaizens; creating methodology to ensure sustainability

  • Building and managing a high performing multidisciplinary BG BT team; creating followership with the End2End community, activating them, coaching them and supporting their career development.

You are a part of

BT Management group and will report into Head of BG BT HealthTech. You will support Precision Diagnosis cluster: Ultrasound, Diagnostic Imaging and Healthcare Informatics.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Degree in Business or Engineering required; Master's Degree preferred

  • Experience in healthcare industry is a must

  • Operational excellence experience: market-to-order domain. Manufacturing would be an asset as well.

  • Ability to analyze key financial and business KPIs from a BG Leader's perspective

  • Capable of development and implementation of a PBS roadmap

  • Practical experience implementing Toyota Production System, or similar, in a functional role

  • Training and Facilitation competencies

  • Consulting skills, ability to influence

  • Time and project management skills

  • 10-15 years of business process improvement experience, managing large projects/programs in complex cross-functional organizations and/or environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead team of improvement resources.
