As a Director Strategy Maternal and Infant Healthspace, you are part of a global M&A, strategy and business development team that directly supports and influences key decisions at the highest level of Philips. You will work in the domain of Maternal and Infant Health with Philips’ businesses, commercial country organizations and functional teams, helping them to develop the business and supplying them with deep insights, actionable strategic direction and thought leadership.
Specifics of the role
The Strategy and M&A team has a broad set of capabilities that support across a diverse set of business, geographies and functions. Within this team you would be the content lead for our Maternal and Infant Health efforts. You will report the Philips Maternal and Infant HealthSpace business leader and Head of Strategy for Personal Health. You will set the agenda to drive our Maternal and Infant efforts, together with other Executives.
You are responsible for
Leading and setting the Philips Maternal and Infant HealthSpace strategy globally across our country sales and service organizations and business groups.
Working closely with M&A, strategy and business development colleagues.
Developing long-term impactful business opportunities to win against competition in the Maternal and Infant HealthSpace.
Maintaining up-to-date overview of market needs and dynamics, competition, technical, application and societal development for the Maternal and Infant HealthSpace to ensure active portfolio management within Philips business groups to maximize value.
Working closely with market analysis and forecasting team, marketing intelligence, research, the business groups and the country sales and service organizations.
Coordinating related new business development and drive the inorganic growth agenda, translating strategy into the needs for M&A, JVs Alliances.
Driving a structured approach to portfolio management across the different R&D programs within the Maternal and Infant HealthSpace.
Ensuring execution of Maternal and Infant HealthSpace strategy - always able to provide latest view on execution status and raises key areas of attention to senior leadership.
Coordinating best practice and knowledge sharing related to the Maternal and Infant HealthSpace across Philips.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A minimum of 10 years combined business development and strategy consulting experience for a top-tier international company or in a corporate strategy department;
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Maternal and Infant HealthSpace (MedTech, provider or research/academia), preferably experience that reflects global perspective and HealthTech mix;
Ability to set agenda for a business and experience to execute on a strategy while operating in a matrix organization;
Entrepreneurial mindset and proven customer and solutions mindset and experience;
International business experience;
A Master’s in Business, Science or Engineering with excellent academic track record;
Excellent analytics and quantitative skills;
Fluency in English, both written and verbal;
A willingness to travel (25%);
People skills as well as a results-driven attitude when managing project teams, including at minimum 1 year of experience in leading project teams.
