Philips Global Head of Recruitment Marketing & Employment Brand in Amsterdam, Netherlands

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead the award-winning Recruitment Marketing team at Philips to enable the company’s People Strategy and Talent Acquisition goals. In doing so, you will be helping Philips achieve its mission of being recognized as, the best place to work for those who share our real passion for improving lives.

You are responsible for

  • Leading the global Recruitment Marketing function, including team, strategy, budget and operations

  • Developing and overseeing execution of a global Recruitment Marketing strategy that increases awareness and consideration of Philips as a desired employer in key markets globally.

  • Leading the performance and development of a 14-person department located around the world, to meet and/or exceed target objectives, while cultivating an environment of authentic, virtual collaboration.

  • Providing high quality consultation to a variety of senior partner groups (Talent Acquisition, HR, business leaders, etc.) on critical talent attraction challenges, issues and projects.

  • Defining and/or managing Philips employer value proposition (EVP) and its associated creative platform across the most influential career channels, touchpoints, and messenger groups in globally consistent, but locally meaningful ways.

  • Influencing all parts of the organization to drive and optimize talent attraction and retention capabilities, using our EVP as a compass for consistency.

  • As part of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Leadership team, you will represent the Recruitment Marketing team’s interest in the strategic direction of TA, and ensure successful implementation of agreed strategies by and within the team.

  • Partnering with Philips Brand, Communications & Digital (BCD) group to align strategy, leverage resources and provide an optimal brand experience to potential employees and customers alike

  • Champion the “voice of candidate” in all Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Marketing programs to ensure optimal employer brand strength and return on investments.

  • Staying on top of the latest consumer and/or talent branding trends, technologies, and tactics; building opportunities to leverage them in pursuit of Philips TA goals.

You are part of

Philips innovative, passionate, and dynamic global Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise (CoE). The group supports talent attraction and hiring needs for 17 markets and multiple Business Groups on a global level and helps talented individuals find their best career – improving billions of lives every year with sustainable, Health Technology innovations.

You will be leading a strategic function within that CoE but frequently partner with cross-functional groups such as Philips BCD group to ensure total brand success for Philips. Reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, you will play a meaningful role within a team externally and internally recognized as best-in-class.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in professional Brand & Marketing roles; employer or talent brand specific experience preferred

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Journalism or related business area

  • Experience leading a team of geographically dispersed professionals is preferred

  • Deep understanding on current Marketing Communication trends, approaches, technologies, applications, etc.

  • A natural relationship builder – able to flex style and use judgement to establish credibility, build collaborative partnerships with, influence and navigate complex situations effectively with partners of diverse cultural backgrounds and seniority levels

  • A customer-centric mindset- an ability to empathize with the target audience and champion his/her interests in the creative strategy and execution process

  • A dual-minded thinker- possesses rare creative abilities, but can also understand detailed processes, scale deliverables, and rely on data to make decisions

  • An understanding of eastern and western cultures, and the marketing industry landscape that surrounds them; ability to balance global consistency and local relevancy in all content programs and solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff and external agency partners to high performance levels (quality, cost, speed)
