Philips Idea to Market (I2M) Transformation Program Leader in Amsterdam, Netherlands


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead the transformational initiatives in the Personal Health Cluster in alignment with the rest of the Philips organization as well as the Chief Technology Office and Business Transformation organization.

A chance to drive towards a successful execution of the I2M transformation roadmap to deliver upon strategic business priorities in the Cluster and Chief Technology Office function as set out in the Strategic Planning process (incl. Hoshin Planning). Together with the Leadership Team you will be responsible to drive a culture of Performance Management across the organization. Developing, designing and executing project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables.

You monitor the program/project from initiation through delivery, working with partners, and reporting on / analyzing progress and outcomes. You ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of relevant internal policies, procedures, and standards.

You are responsible for

  • Defining the Innovation Transformation strategy of the Cluster Personal Health including selection of targets and priority setting between programs when needed.

  • Leading portfolio of E2E Transformations and Philips Business System/ E2E deployment projects and you are capable of having an overview of all transformations touching the E2E value chain of I2M.

  • Formulating and being accountable for the overall program/project plan, in consultation with management and other parties.

  • Defining the E2E project including but not limited to optimization of the R&D footprint, building strong digital, data, new business model, collaborative capabilities. Defining the goal and prioritizing the resources to be used (time, budget and information).

  • Defining the risk of the program and developing scenarios to mitigate these risks.

  • Ensuring accurate execution versus the project/program plan.

  • Coordinating effective communication/change management strategies for the overall program.

  • Establishing a strong innovation culture based on collaboration, sharing knowledge and an agile WoW.

You are a part of

You are part of the Personal Health Innovation team reporting to Personal Health Innovation lead.

The job is located in Amsterdam with some flexibility while visiting the sites in the Netherlands, US, China and India.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Strong Domain knowledge (R&D) and understanding of all relevant disciplines.

  • Conceptual thinker to translate Philips Personal Health strategy into I2M transformation plan with concrete programs / targets / timelines / resources

  • Leading multi-site, cross-functional programs

  • Knowledge of program management methods and of estimation techniques (resources, time and risks) for all relevant technical disciplines impacted.

  • Professional knowledge on a wide range of relevant technologies

  • Experience in preparing delivery plans for mid-term and long-term

  • Being able to own the overall transformation program for the Personal Health Innovation cluster with major impact, requiring large/multi-disciplinary stakeholders, with global implications.

  • Conceptual thinker with shown ability to synthesize conceptual thinking to operational functions

  • Data driven mindset with strong experience in decision making with data

  • Inquisitive and creative (searcher for truth)

  • Comfortable and ability to thrive with ambiguity while handling critical partners

  • A motivator, direct, and able to integrate multiple functions and staff performing different tasks with differing priorities and measures of success
