Philips Lean Master in Amsterdam, Netherlands

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Drive Operational Excellence through the deployment of Continuous Improvement methodologies throughout the End-to-End customer value chains within Health & Wellness Amsterdam. Establish a Lean Thinking and continuous learning organization through Change Management and Lean Leadership. Ensure strategic plans are set-up for deployment based on Hoshin Planning methodology. Establish culture of Daily Management and Problem Solving in all areas of the business with ongoing coaching throughout all leadership levels. Establish mutually agreed Continuous Improvement deployment plans for the business.

You are responsible for

  • Lean implementation across the End-to-End value chain – Idea to Market – Market to order – Order to Cash with focus on M20 and Enabling Functions

  • Implement and enhance Daily Management throughout the above mentioned teams and establish a tier level structure to support Daily Management governance

  • Establish a culture of structured Problem Solving, using standard Philips Problem Solving tools

  • Provide coaching towards senior leaders in the area of Daily Management, Problem Solving and Hoshin from a leadership viewpoint as well as developing and role modelling overall Lean Leadership behaviors

  • Facilitate the Hoshin Planning and execution processes (Strategy Deployment) including development of AIP Charters and Action Plans (and ensuring a proper follow-up of the AIP implementation)

  • Support the teams in executing on the Hoshin Action Plans wherever needed and using appropriate Philips Excellence tools and concepts

  • Facilitate Value Stream Mapping process to identify key focus areas

  • Kaizen facilitation and tracking of the sustainability of events

  • Deploy and provide ongoing coaching on Lean I2M concepts such as Lean Scheduling, Daily Project Management, Knowledge Management, etc.

  • Drive the change management throughout the Lean journey to ensure the organization fully embraces the Why, What and How of the Lean transformation

  • Be a role model Lean Trainer, Coach and Mentor

  • Lean advisor & business partner for M20 and the Enabling Functions within BG H&W

  • Capture, document and share best practice, transferring knowledge & learnings across the Business Group and the entire organization

  • Manage the BT Communications towards the various stakeholder groups

  • Support the Philips Excellence Competition process

  • Be a second in command for the BG BT Leader

You are a part of

The Lean Master reports to the Business Transformation Leader of the Business Group Health & Wellness and is 100% dedicated to the deployment of Continuous Improvement.

The Lean Master takes ownership of the improvement plan, which has to be designed to support the achievement of the key performance indicators of the business.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A Bachelors or Master’s degree

  • A minimum of 10 years’ working experience

  • Strong background in Lean transformations (Innovation, Office, Manufacturing)

  • Experience in multi-location Lean deployment

  • Lean Master certification

  • Six Sigma DMAIC and/or DFSS Master Black Belt is a plus

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Certified Problem Solving and Daily Management trainer certification

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • A passion for Continuous Improvement

  • Great networking and business partnering skills

  • Strong stakeholder management

  • The ability to enthuse colleagues in Lean Thinking as a business necessity

  • Solid experience to lead the required change for a sustainable Lean transformation

  • Able to work at every level of the organization, from Team Members to Executives

  • A belief in 'leading by example' and working as a core member of the business leadership team

  • Hands-on and pragmatic approach

  • Up to 20% travel, mainly within the assigned region, but also globally
