At the core of the Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions and Partnerships (SMAP) department, one of the most dynamic teams of the company, the Market Analysis & Forecasting (MA&F) team has a vacancy for a MA&F Junior Analyst Personal Health, who will help predict and model the foundation for Philips’ growth in the Personal Health cluster space. Based in Amsterdam, this role is well-positioned at the epicentre of Philips strategy to reshape the business in the face of an evolving marketplace.
You are responsible for
Support the comprehensive model-based market sizing and forecasting (in excel)
Ensure 100% data integrity of the MA&F team data output
Collaborate on a project basis with MA&F mainstream market analysts, group strategy and business development, business groups and markets organizations, marketing intelligence teams, finance, investor relations, to leverage the MA&F's models and analytical capabilities
Manage historical market share performance and develop competitor analyses for key stakeholders
Support mainstream analysts building relationships with key members of the markets and business groups teams to capture relevant data points and knowledge required to drive further model forecast accuracy

The team provides fact-based market models and insightful analyses to stakeholders across Philips’ business sectors and geographies. As part of Philips corporate level functions, this role lives at the heart of Philips, playing a key role in supporting the Royal Philips Executive Committee and a large base of key decision making stakeholders across the globe. This position will work side-by-side with the Strategy, Merger & Acquisitions and Partnerships teams and will have a direct line of access to the Philips geographic market leaders and Personal Health business segment teams.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
University degree, preferably in Business Economics or Engineering / Finance (MBA, or other relevant graduate degree is a plus)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical role
Proven background in market analysis (i.e. equity research analyst, investment banker or other related employment)
Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to sense check large datasets as well as being able to support analytically mainstream analysts
Leadership and change management skills
Be comfortable networking both within and outside of Royal Philips
Possess solid presentation skills to deliver various market insights to key Royal Philips business group leaders, geographic market leaders, and Royal Philips executive leadership members
Exhibit a high level of integrity, stress resistance, flexibility and creativity
