In this role, you have the opportunity to
guide and support Business Groups, Markets and enabling functions to always do the right thing. In this individual contributor (without managing a team) position you are responsible for the development and updating of Global Supplier Quality Assurance processes to include processes specific to Software suppliers. We are open for candidates to be located in Eindhoven, Best or Amsterdam.
You are responsible for
Developing/deploying purchasing control processes, procedures & systems in compliance with applicable regulations
Setting/updating purchasing control requirements to suppliers, classification of suppliers, and risk categorization
Ensuring integration and validation of purchasing procedures with supporting IT and data applications for effective operationalization
Participating in supplier qualification, audit, and assessment. This includes supporting and defending Philips in external and internal inspections/audits, and supporting the closure of regulatory compliance gaps at suppliers and supplier non-conformances.
Participating in supplier selection process; maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and documented evidence of evaluation records
Actively monitoring and reporting on supplier quality metrics, quality agreements with critical suppliers, and quality of supplier records and drives supplier quality management review with relevant stakeholders
Driving compliance with applicable Quality Management Systems; engaging in Corrective Actions as needed
Acting as the Supplier Quality Subject Matter Expert specifically in relation to software
Ensure the addition of software requirements to the applicable Global Purchasing Control Procedures
You are a part of:
The person in this role will be a significant resource in the Global Supplier Quality Team. In this role you will be part of a small team (6-10 people) while working with people across Philips to ensure best practices are utilized in the management of suppliers for all Philips Businesses with a specific focus on software suppliers.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree preferably in an Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain discipline
4 years working experience in Supplier Quality Assurance of which a couple in Medical device (preferred), pharma, automotive or aerospace is required
Experience working with Software Product suppliers is required
Experience with implementing global processes and systems is required
Comfortable being an individual contributor and flexible in working hours
APQP experience is an advantage
Less than 25% travel globally
Proven track record in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action methods
Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Auditing skillsets, up to and including certified lead auditor training
