This role is responsible for the strategic direction and creative execution of the social media marketing activity across all Domestic Appliances category and sub category brands in line with the highest standards of creativity and digital and social media.

You are responsible for

  • Develop and deliver the social media strategy for Philips DA and category brands as a key part of the overall (digital) marketing strategy; use consumer insights and social listening as base

  • Develop the social media content plan for each channel, ensuring that it supports both promotional priorities and meets audience/user needs in key BMCs

  • Lead the creative development of social media campaigns for DA’s high priority programs as well as always-on content and work closely with Consumer Marketing and Digital Marketing Managers to ensure alignment along CDJ:

  • advise Assets production, digital content managers and external suppliers on delivery of assets required for social media

  • produce creative briefs where necessary for external agencies that might be employed to develop social media campaigns and to lead this work from end-to-end

  • sign off content delivered to market social media team(s) and escalate with the appropriate stakeholders on editorial issues of a sensitive nature

  • Work closely with key stakeholders (market teams, BCD, CMMs, Category Leads, PR, CRM, Procurement, Legal, as appropriate) to:

  • ensure best practice in terms of reaching audiences and to identify new opportunities on social platforms

  • ensure the off-air paid for digital advertising campaigns are aligned with social media activity

  • ensure timely release of information

  • Review performance of the social media channels against targets and report regularly

  • Evaluate audience behaviour and provide recommendations for future planning and development of digital activities

  • Monitor external trends and developments in the world of digital and social media and feed in ideas for innovation and continued best practice

  • Oversee budget allocation for social content creation and be responsible for ensuring campaigns are delivered within budgets, agreed timeframes and quality standards

  • Manage any out of hours editorial issues that are escalated

You are a part of

Reporting to the Head of Digital DA, you will ensure a consolidated brand-led marketing approach via our Philips DA social media channels, always considering specific market needs. You will work collaboratively with all other areas of M2O (Asset, MarComs and Shopper) as well as the DA categories, markets and other functions at Philips (Brand, Communication and Digital, Digital Services, PR). Your goal will be to deliver and roll out the overarching DA social media strategy and provide the right social media assets and guidelines based on annual content plan(s).

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • University degree

  • Substantial experience of managing and developing major social media brands in a complex business or broadcast environment

  • At least 3-5 years of social media expertise in a B2C environment (agency, corporate)

  • Strong communication and editorial skills with a dedication to social media platforms

  • Experience in writing and briefing agencies on digital and social campaigns

  • Deep understanding of paid social media methodologies and ability to apply in 360 campaign approach

  • Very good experience of social media publishing & monitoring tools (e.g. Sprinklr)

  • A good understanding of brand strategy, brand lifecycle management, marketing techniques, and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques

  • Project and budget management skills

  • Experience of influencing and managing a wide range of stakeholders

  • A highly analytical approach, able to critically evaluate ideas and information and make improvements to working practices

  • Excellent English skills, preferable another language
