In this role you have the opportunity to:
Join a small established and experienced team that is developing, integrating and testing next generation wireless technologies and driving solution level reference architectures focused on exciting new concepts such as EMaaS (Enterprise Monitoring as a Service). Along with the SW & HW developers, test engineers and system architects, you will develop, track and manage complex projects that involve engaging with MA&TC BU’s in the effort to assist in adoption and integration of wireless platforms and reference architectures. In addition, you will a key stakeholder in the cross functional effort to drive collaboration beyond the MA&TC BG with Research and other organizations within Philips. Finally, you will be the subject matter expert to support business development teams with the integration of the reference HW/SW platform into next generation of Philips Healthcare solutions.
Manage multidisciplinary projects that are both regional and global in scope
Provide leadership & motivation, across the project life cycle, to a cross-functional team that includes representatives from R&D, marketing, product management and other project leads
Develop & execute project plans that specify goals, strategy, staffing, schedule & RACI, identifying assumptions, dependencies, risks & mitigation plans. Maintain project documentation
Engage with multiple BU’s and other organizations to define join engagement activities; track, report and document progress to joint milestone and deliverables
Manage all projects using Philips PEPF/PMI-based project management tools, techniques and templates, through all project phases (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, closure)
Direct and coordinate activities to ensure project delivers business & customer value, for agreed scope, on schedule, within budget, and at a defined quality level.
Manage issues, decisions & risks, including escalation to sponsors as needed
Provide periodic reviews with management & key stakeholders to assure proper direction of the assigned projects
Keep abreast of developments in project management tools and processes (both internal and external) & Wi-Fi CoE strategies & roadmap
Develop and maintain a defect tracking system using TFS or other means to monitor and report on wireless platform operation
Ensure compliance to corporate policies/rules/procedures
Knowledge & Skills:
Technical, Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 7 years of related experience
Experience in regulated industries (medical devices preferred)
Experience with Wi-Fi and other wireless related concepts preferred
Strong interpersonal skills to engage and manage people relationships outside of the CTO office
Experience with Philips product development preferred
PMP certification or Philips Expert certification & on the path for PMP certification
Strong Project Management skills & a solid understanding of Project Management methodologies, tools, and techniques
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Flexible thinking with ability to adapt & prioritize tasks under changing conditions
Demonstrated ability to coordinate, plan & lead across multiple BUs & sites & functions in effective & efficient manner, requiring strong organizational, motivational, & interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to build & foster strong working relationships on project team and with management, especially in a matrix managed organization and without direct resource control
Demonstrated ability to plan & conduct effective meetings
Personal ability, and ability to lead a team through advanced problem solving & analysis with strong attention to detail, coupled with the ability to define & focus the team and activities on critical success factors.
Demonstrated commitment to meeting deadlines and expectations while ensuring overall quality of delivery
Excellent communications skills:
Ability to convey relevant information in a clear & concise manner, tuned to the intended audience, both verbally & in writing
Confidence in preparing & presenting presentations in large or small groups
Planning & decision making:
Works under only general supervision, in terms of broadly stated objectives and deliverables
Operates with a significant amount of latitude and freedom to act. Supervisory review on new projects, and major changes/risks that have impact to committed benefit (cost, quality, schedule) & escalation thereof
