Supplier Quality Program Manager

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Perform Supplier Quality-related activities for Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Quality Improvement and associated topics related to BOM and Service suppliers. Work with Supplier Quality, Procurement Engineering, Commodity Management and other involved functions to ensure holistic and effective quality management of suppliers per relevant QMS processes. Drive quality and compliance activities with suppliers, setting a high standard and fast response expectation so compliance with quality requirements is assured and performance is managed in an efficient and effective way. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all associated processes and systems. Lead with best practices to enable our organization to provide high quality medical products to our customers.

You are responsible for

  • Manage Supplier Performance Management and Quality related activities for purchased material and service suppliers.

  • Work with suppliers to ensure all necessary quality and performance management activities are rigorously addressed during NPI or sustaining production.

  • Keep all compliance requirements current by working with suppliers and across Supplier Quality, Procurement, Operations, R&D and other functions.

  • Execute supplier performance reviews, monitor supplier metrics, and drive actions efficiently and effectively.

  • Maintain associated QMS Process documents, manage systems aspects with new tools or upgrades, train users, perform CAPA’s and drive best practice as credible Subject Matter Expert (SME).

You are a part of

The MATC Global Supplier Quality Team works with a worldwide supply base and our global Business Units (BU’s) and sites to help ensure high quality purchased materials. The team leads Supplier Quality Engineering activities during new product development, sustaining production, purchased material quality issue resolution and ongoing supplier quality monitoring.

This position is located in Andover, MA and will relocate to our Cambridge facility in early 2020.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Engineering degree and a minimum of 10 years industry experience in Quality, Procurement and/or Operations for manufacturing of electro-mechanical systems/products/solutions for the medical, aerospace or automotive industries.

  • Awareness of supply base considerations for commodities such as printed circuit board assemblies, power supplies, cables, custom battery packs, mechanical parts (plastics, machined, sheet metal), cables, etc..

  • Awareness and experience with all aspects of supplier quality management and ASL topics such as contracting, supplier performance monitoring/management, etc.

  • Experience in project management and being part of a wider team.

  • Tenacity to getting things done and not accepting the norm, being adaptable to situations.

  • Knowledge of the Purchasing function and associated commodity, supply base, quality and data management considerations. Understanding of Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Material and Supplier Quality and Data Management areas.

  • Strong statistical background.

  • Master Black Belt, Black Belt, Green Belt

  • Effective communicator. Able to work effectively with global, cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience in a regulated environment, medical preferred.

  • Knowledgeable in web-based tools that support these activities.
