In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Play a key role in a fast-growing Philips venture, disrupt a billion dollar industry and touch millions of lives by representing a unique medical device solution in Electrophysiology. Your challenge will be to build, lead and grow the sales organization in your region, in a challenging phase of exciting growth. This role offers the unique opportunity to be an entrepreneur and leader in a startup (under the umbrella of a larger Health Tech organization), to co-build the business and culture from the beginning, using innovative technology, and growing it into an established, substantial, profitable business.

You are responsible for the following:

  • Establishing and growing the Electrophysiology business in the market

  • Evaluating and hiring sales, clinical and technical representatives and train them on meeting customer needs, sales growth expectations and sales models

  • Developing annual sales plans for sales team that reflect market trends and opportunities

  • Leading, motivating, and managing your team

  • Developing the business and selling skills of the team

  • Identifying and supporting strategic sales initiatives

  • Supporting all clinical support and product training field-based activities at clinical sites

  • Generating and developing sales leads and opportunities

  • Maintaining a solid and strong relationship with all key accounts

  • Act as the local expert to support the customer’s needs, engaging the KOLs network and utilizing their influence and support

  • Driving procedural adoption by ensuring that customers receive the necessary support to enroll, treat, and follow patients in a manner consistent with the clinical protocols in place

  • Assisting and supporting marketing efforts including implementing strategies and attending Trade Shows

You are a part of:

Philips EPD Solutions, a recently acquired venture with ambitious plans for growth, is developing a disruptive technology which will improve the efficiency and efficacy of life-saving cardiac ablation procedures treating among others atrial fibrillation. Over 33 million people worldwide suffer from atrial fibrillation, its management costing $26 billion per year in the US alone. Currently, up to half of all cardiac ablation procedures need to be repeated due to incomplete ablation. EPD’s technology has the potential to address the key unmet need of real-time therapy assessment, which is one of the more significant limitations of the current standard of care. We seek to help improve outcomes for millions of people and help maintain the rapidly rising cost of managing the disease. Having obtained CE mark in 2018, we are preparing for a commercial product launch in Europe, US and other territories and are seeking regulatory approvals around the world.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Science preferred with a Master’s Degree in Science or MBA preferred

  • 5+years of experience in leading commercial and clinical teams

  • Successful sales performance within the industry for invasive cardiovascular medical devices

  • Significant knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology and the electrophysiology market place required

  • Excellent understanding of sales techniques and customer service principles

  • Ability to teach and assist others

  • A deep understanding of management principles and the ability to select, develop and lead sales, clinical and technical support teams

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive long term relationships with your team, customers and KOLs

  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure in an aggressive market in order to achieve and exceed targets

  • Excellent communication skills
