In this role, you have the opportunity to
Represent our innovative patient monitoring and measurement products in case of clinical questions. In this role, you have new and different challenges every day and have the opportunity to go home at night knowing that you have made difference in improving healthcare and perhaps even saving lives.
You are responsible for
A team of about 10 clinical consultants, biomedical engineers and usability engineers. The team performs clinical validation and evaluation activities (clinical studies, clinical investigations, literature reviews, user preference studies, post market clinical follow-up studies), risk management assessments, health hazard evaluations, post market surveillance assessments and supports the R&D organization in case of clinical questions.
Manages and monitors plans, budget, resource allocations and trainings
Runs performance reviews and talent development
Ensures compliance with external regulatory requirements, applicable standards and Philips Quality Management System
Ensures clinical advice support to business and field functions (e.g. escalations, new business opportunities, tender situations etc.)
You are part of
The Clinical Affairs team for Monitoring and Analytics Business. Their goal is to ensure products/solutions meet and exceed desired clinical outcomes that affect the cost, quality and delivery of care. They are involved in all phases of product/solution development and lifecycle management. While spending 20% of their time in the market with clinicians, they internally represent the voice of the clinician and end-user, driving clinically differentiated innovations.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master degree in natural science
Solid scientific background in natural sciences
At least 5 years of experience with clinical evaluations/investigations for medical products
Advanced knowledge about medical device regulations, standards and guidelines
People management of a small group of specialists and/or from various disciplines
Team player
Good presentation skills
Fluency in English and German language
Medical background will be an advantage
