Philips Director Business Transformation (m/f/d) in Böblingen, Germany


In this role, you have the opportunity to

lead the transformational initiatives for Business “Monitoring and Analytics” (MA). MA is a software and solutions business encompassing patient monitoring and its capabilities. Our MA solutions reach more than 370 million people every year. Together with the Leadership Team, you play a critical role in driving a culture of Performance Management across the organization.

You are responsible for

  • Driving the Business Transformation portfolio and support the strategic direction of the Business “Monitoring and Analytics” (MA)

  • Driving towards successful execution of the business transformation roadmap to deliver upon strategic business priorities as set out in the Strategic Planning process (incl. Hoshin Planning)

  • Defining methodology and implement the LEAN improvement initiatives

  • Engaging with all Business Category and Functional leaders within Business MA in assessing key business metrics

  • Coaching leadership of Business MA in the practical application of the LEAN tools to drive significant business impact

  • Playing a critical role in defining the Business Transformation strategy of Business MA including selection of targets and priority setting between programs when needed

  • Establishing a culture of Continuous Improvement by applying the Philips Excellence tools (Daily Management, Problem Solving, Kaizens, etc.) and ensures that business transformation is sustainable

  • Enabling and coach the performance improvements of the top priority business targets as determined by the Business MA Leadership Team

You are part of

the Business Transformation organization, we work hand in hand with the Business Groups, Markets and Functions to make Philips less complex and more competitive. We focus on two pillars: driving transformational programs and creating a continuous improvement mindset.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

  • A minimum of 8-10 years in Continuous Improvement roles

  • Proven track-record in coaching and managing high performance and management teams through transformations

  • Multi Industry and multi-function CI experience preferred

  • Experience in multi-location LEAN deployments preferred

  • Gravitas and earned authority to deal with and manage senior stakeholders to challenge the status quo

  • Consulting skills, ability to operate in a highly matrixed structure

  • Solid experience in continuous improvement (including daily management and problem solving)

  • Preferably experience within a R&D environment

  • Experience with E2E New Product Introduction processes, including Launch Excellence, Agile, VPM etc.

  • Fluency in written/spoken English; fluency in German is an advantage
