Philips Senior Marketing & Business Development Manager (m/f) General Care in Böblingen, Germany
The Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager – General Care Solutions is responsible for growing the Philips business in lower acuity areas in hospitals, i.e. general care. The responsibility of this position will be global with identified strategic markets in focus.
You will be supporting the focus markets whilst developing new markets and business opportunities in order to maximize growth and ensure the long-term profitability for the Philips General Care Solution offering.
Work with the strategic focus markets to identify new business opportunities, sales- and go-to market strategies for the solution. Owns the downstream marketing for the solution and relevant individual elements of the solution (marketing planning, pricing, positioning, planning and execution)
You are responsible for the entire portfolio of the Philips General Care Solution offering. You are required to have deep expertise in solution selling, preferably in the global healthcare provider market.
Identify locally relevant portfolio offerings – develop selling strategies with local market teams and build the solution to best meet the customer requirement
Key activities include supporting markets in presenting the Philips solution offering to identified customers, helping the markets to develop sales strategies while providing product, clinical and technical support including support on tools and training in the field as well as competitive insights analytics
Business development of the General Care solutions in selected global markets
develop and execute a business development plan
Owns the downstream marketing for the solution and relevant individual elements of the solution (marketing planning, pricing, positioning, planning and execution)
Sales/Business development; sales support; skills & knowledge transfer
Share field/customer feedback to the Field Marketing and Product Management teams regarding customer insights, market/clinical trends, current products and competition based on market visit reports
Support the sales organization in winning deals, increasing market share and optimize profitability.
Business Group Monitoring & Analytics Sales & Marketing. Sales Enablement organization supports the markets to identify and address business potential and ensures that each individual market can fully exploit the sales and profit potential of the Business Units’ (BU) products/solutions .

What we are looking for
Master’s degree in relevant field; MBA preferred
Proven track record in marketing and sales (min. 5 – 7 years)
Experience in solutions businesses for healthcare providers globally
Proven experience in consultative selling approach
Capability to drive sales growth in new and existing markets - ability to identify local opportunities, interact with decision makers and provide highest-quality leads as a result
Experience to identify opportunities and interact with decision makers on internal and external C-level
A goal oriented, entrepreneurial self-driving leader
Positive outlook and ability to turn around and maintain high motivation in marketing and sales force
Ability to collect and comprehend local market trends and competitive intelligence into actionable input for the global and regional marketing teams
Fluent in English, preferably second language
Must be open to travel 30 - 50% internationally
