The MA&TC M2O Localization Department reports into the Market-to-Order organization for two Philips Healthcare business groups, Monitoring and Analytics, and Therapeutic Care. It manages the product, training and marketing translation work for MA&TC into over 30 languages, using state-of-the-art-translation tools and business processes.

Our team has a vacancy for a Working Student to support our team of Translators/Translation Validators in the handling and production of translation projects from English into Simplified Chinese. The position is available as of now or later in the year.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the team’s Simplified Chinese Translator/Translation Validator as needed.

  • Tasks may comprise proofreading, terminology work, and functional testing of localized material.

Requirements:

  • Perfect command of Simplified Chinese, adequate to native language proficiency

  • Excellent command of English

  • Ongoing university education in Translation Studies; preferably with a focus on medicine or Engineering

  • Working experience as a translator as well as proven skills using state-of-the-art localization tools and processes are appreciated but not a requirement

  • An analytical mind set, attention to quality and good communication skills are essential.
