Using the skills, you have developed as strategic sourcing leader you will source, contract, and manage suppliers who have a strong impact on our companies’ future IT and digital landscape. You will work with top IT suppliers on what they can bring to our company, securing the proper contract engagements, driving the strategic programs with them as well as manage the partners’ relationship through a proper governance structure and executive review meetings. You will drive commodity and sourcing strategies aligned with IT programs and requirements. You will be part of negotiations teams, implementation projects and manage commercial relationships with suppliers.
Location will be in Eindhoven and Amsterdam.
Source, negotiate and ensure contract compliancy for IT Services
Define the IT services sourcing strategy and execute the sourcing projects.
Define direction and be responsible for sourcing, development, and qualification of suppliers that meet the business requirements
Responsible for direction and leadership of supplier relationships, supplier negotiations and supplier performance measurement and feedback programs
Ultimately responsible for the negotiation process for the assigned area and for delivering the total cost of ownership to support the profitability objectives
Lead, develop, assign, and monitor sourcing projects, including responsibility for (local) reporting, funding, agreed savings and (cost)budgets
Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with the various Philips businesses to ensure successful execution of sourcing strategies
Support in performing supplier reviews with IT and businesses to check on performance and ensure that the sourcing strategies contribute to the bottom line
Accountable for budget, quality, delivery and long-term assurance of supply objectives with the supply base are established and achieved. Responsible for development of sourcing strategies / concepts and translate these into solutions for the IT and business as a pro-active solution provider
Identify and execute improvements in procurement processes by applying Lean methodologies

Global IT Commodity Cluster, which is an integral part of the Indirect Materials and Services (IMS) organization. The Global IT Commodity Cluster delivers a closed loop purchasing cycle, covering strategic/tactical sourcing (creation of contracts) as well as transactional handling of the ‘procure to pay' process, through its outsourced Transactional Shared Service Centers.
The Commodity Manager IT is part of the Global IT Commodity Cluster, with Commodity Managers in four different countries and three different continents. You interact with executives within Philips and IT suppliers all around the globe.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master or Bachelor degree in Information Technology , Information Management or Business Administration
At least 10 years of IT purchasing experience (required) with a proven track record in leading major (IT Services ) sourcing engagements and contract negotiations (required)
Proven experience sourcing IT category products and services, and supporting digital projects
Knowledge of the IT business environment within large multinationals or IT Service Providers
Experience with working/partnering with large IT service integrators or service providers
Ability to work independently in a virtual, remote environment
Change driven, pragmatic, strong interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, with focus on getting results for the business
Highly energetic with a young mindset and strong drive for results
Eager to learn and develop yourself
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
