Job Description Summary

  • Manages through subordinate supervisors in full the NPI related processes, with full responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing. Has budget responsibility.

  • Defines the short-term product introduction policy within the constraints of the industrial strategy. Arranges programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the NPI organization.

  • Prepares product introduction operation and investment plans. Executes plan to reduce costs. Supervises, selects, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient new product introduction.

  • Gains cooperation of others. Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors.

  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).

  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas.

Experience & Background, Knowledge, aptitude

  • Electronics/ Electrical engineering with 7-10 years of experience.

  • Hands on design and development experience.

  • Hands on experience in designing product/ module test fixtures (functional test fixtures, ICTs etc) for complex PCBAs.

  • Strategic Mindset, able to connect with the big picture.Good to have: experience in firmware development. Experience in transitioning designs to EMS and driving multi- vendor, multi board product integrations.

The Role

  • Serve as a Core team member on New Product Development projects as a design transfer representative.

  • Responsible for product metrics like FPY, product cost, product reliability, Lead teams to work closely with various functional areas and properly transfer new products into manufacturing.

  • Hands on experience to drive risk management to transfer products to manufacturing.

  • Provide expertise in project planning and timeline development & management.

  • Act as liaison between Operations and R&D. Report to stakeholders and upper management about progress and any necessary modifications of plans.

  • Leads/ participates with supplier for development of test fixtures, module test development.
