Key areas of responsibility:

As Platform specialist / Solution Architect:

  • Accountable that the solution designs meet the functional requirements specified by the Business.

  • Accountable that solution design meets platform architecture. Provide feedback to architecture community on architecture and design.

  • Accountable that deliverables meet requirements w.r.t. reliability, availability, manageability, performance, and security and compliance.

  • Approves the content of the release prior to release and manages interrelation aspects with other applications.

  • Supports development team in performing build automation and configuration management.

  • Supports the Delivery Manager in timely provision of technical environments.

  • Supports Business Analyst, Project Manager and Delivery Manager on managing, tracking, and forecasting of solution development.

  • Coaches Platform Specialists and developers.

Experience & Knowledge:

Core technology expertise:

  • 12 – 15 years of Total IT experience.

  • At least 8-10 years of relevant IT Experience.

  • 3 Years of full Project life-cycle Implementation experience which includes architecture, design and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions using BI/BW/HANA

  • Hands-on experience on ABAP in BI in writing ABAP code in transformation, Data-source Enhancements, generic data-source creation based of Function module extractors, Routines and BEx exits (CMOD)

  • Driving initiatives to eliminate unrewarded complexity in Projects (LEAN).

  • Experience in architecture and design documentation, adherence to and/or enrichment of existing Industry Standards.

  • Experience in working closely with Business and IT Teams to gather requirements, enhance existing data solutions, and build new solutions as needed to meet the needs and goals of Industry.

  • Experienced in developing BEx Queries and integration with BO reporting tools on Composite and Transient providers.

  • Ability to provide hands-on support to the development engineers and trouble-shoot issues occurring during development.

Additional Technology Skills (preferable) :

  • Experience integrating on premise applications with Cloud SaaS/PaaS applications

  • Proficient on Business Warehouse on HANA and BW/4 HANA modelling components such as Composite providers, ADSO and Virtual Info-providers.

  • Proficient on data modelling in Information Models in SAP HANA - Attribute Views, Analytic Views, Calculation Views (Graphical and Script), Procedures and Analytical Privileges.

  • Knowledge on migration strategy from Existing BW landscape to future SAP EDW product line (BW4HANA or BWoH).

  • Knowledge / experience in integration with Cloud applications

People & Process :

  • Definition and enforcement of design and development guidelines, policies and procedures

  • Experience with Configuration Management Processes and systems.

  • Experience with requirements gathering, effort estimation, impact analysis and supporting project/delivery management with creating delivery plans

  • Experience with Application and Infrastructure Support in an outsourced model

  • Experience with Agile & Scrum methodologies in an onsite/offshore delivery model

  • Knowledge of IT Software Validation methodology in regulated medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare industry would be an added advantage.

  • Possesses a broad, enterprise-wide view of business and appreciation for strategy, processes and enabling technologies

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors / Masters in Science or Technology

  • Open Group (preferable)

  • Lean Foundation (preferable)

  • Consultancy skills (added advantage)
