Philips Project Leader II in Bangalore, India


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Is responsible for formulating the (sub) project plan, in consultation with management and other parties concerned

  • Leads at least two teams across multiple projects

  • Identifies the risks of the project (i.e. specs, costs, planning, etc.) and develops scenarios to overcome these risks by defining corrective actions and driving the projects to closure

  • Coaches and directs project team members and gives them operational guidance, both technically and organizationally, including agile software development when applicable

  • Is responsible for and facilitates implementation and realization and release by the project team according to the project plan (specification, quality, time, money, information)

  • Represents the (sub)-project team in the overall project to optimize fit for use and overall effectiveness

  • Gathers and integrates project performance and progress information. Reports on the progress of the project with an agreed frequency on quality, status, time, and money to senior management and to the project members

  • Ensures that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the project results and the associated knowledge

  • Reports on employees’ performance to the hierarchical superior of the employees for the purpose of appraisal

  • Deploys process improvements, supports continuous improvement of teams and makes the project organization efficient and transparent, in line with departmental and project processes and compliance to corporate policies/rules/procedures

  • Manages internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8 - 12 years of experience, at least three of which are in an execution-oriented role

  • Bachelors degree or higher in an engineering discipline

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Agile and/or SAFe

  • Strong communication and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated skill in executing projects with multiple stakeholders

  • Change management
