Philips Software Engineer II in Bangalore, India

Software Engineer with strong academics, C#/.Net experience of about 3 to 5years. Experience in Desktop applications, Winforms, WPF/WCF is desirable. Exposure to HTML5 is a plus.

In this role, you are responsible for

  • Taking ownership of development code baseline of the medium sized software product

  • Perform the role of a developer by implementing components/modules/sub-systems

  • Analyze existing implementation and suitably adapt specific components to meet the current business needs

  • Drive improvements in the product architecture by working closely with Architect and associated teams

  • Support project management and lead the estimations, releases

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 2 - 4 years of software engineering experience

  • Experience in object oriented design and multi-threaded programming

  • Prior experience of building Windows Applications and WPF on .Net platform

  • Strong technical background in C# programming, .Net framework 3.5/4.0/4.5

  • Excellent Issue investigation and analytical skills

  • Experience of configuration management tools like clear case

  • Working with multisite teams, Quality conscious and Process Oriented

  • Self- driven and flexible to work beyond the call of the job

  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills with an ability to interact with partners and geographically distributed teams
