Job Title: Software Engineer II
In the Research and Development department in MRI, you will join a global team of software and hardware engineers developing the next generation of MR systems. Your responsibility is to innovate, develop and demonstrate new or improved MR hardware device drivers and device diagnostic solutions with the end goal of delivering these solutions to the Philips MR’s global product line. This could involve extension and optimization of the existing Philips MR device control software with emphasis on reliability and performance of the underlying MR system software and hardware platform. Ownership will extend to all phases of new product introduction (NPI) programs, interfacing with customers, cross-functional subsystem teams, technical experts, and support for the installed base, pre-NPI and advanced technology development.
Responsible for the design, implementation, testing and all related documentation for a project.
Gather, define and write the detailed requirements specifications based upon higher level system requirements & the system design specification;
Create a design of the software on the basis of the detailed requirements, so that the software will be reliable, efficient and easy to maintain;
Define the detailed test design and test specifications.
You will be working in the Business Innovation Unit Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) within Philips Healthcare at http://www.medical.philips.com/main . MRI is one of the youngest and most innovative imaging technologies and is growing in applications but also in complexity of the systems and their acquisition techniques. It is the most suitable technology for soft tissue imaging due to its non-invasive and radiation free character.

We are looking for
Graduate / Post graduate in engineering (Computer Science / Electronics / Electrical)
Fresher with strong basics in SW engineering principles and SW development lifecycle
Hands on experience with C++ and object oriented software development
Knowledge of real time systems, SW control of electronics and control systems
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated and good team player
Work under pressure and meet deadlines
1-2 years of software development experience
Knowledge of VxWorks or RT Linux, creation of Boot loader, BSP and Kernel Image
Exposure to software project development, configuration management and testing
Experience in Healthcare or a regulated industry is an advantage
