You are responsible for:
Analyze and understand the Software/Functional components and associated Test cases; define and/ or implement key functional and non-functional automated test suites for the product
Contribute for the development and enhancement of test automation scripts along with the framework components as required.
Own the test automation for the identified component or module
Own and deliver automation components for multiple technologies like C#, WPF and HTML. Scripting languages (VB Scripts, windows Batch scripts, Perl.)
Proactively contribute to automation coverage for one or more functional areas via black box or grey box based test automation techniques.
Contribute to development of simulators, tools to be used for development and verification.
Proactively contribute to quality improvement initiatives through continuous integration, deployment, adoption of best agile practices.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Excellent knowledge on test automation frameworks and testing life cycle.
5 to 6 years of hands on experience in the development/test automation on the C# .Net, CodedUI, Selenium or equivalent technology.
Hands-on on .Net fundamentals. VB Scripts, windows Batch scripts, Perl.
Should be able to exploit features of .Net for developing scripts/ framework components.
Hands-on experience in automating applications that are built on multiple technologies such as WPF, WCF, HTML, C#
Knowledge on BDD is advantage (Spec flow, Cucumber etc)
Experience in the automation of non-functional requirements is advantageous
Hands-on knowledge of Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, CruiseControl is preferred
Good team player with positive attitude
Self-starter, quick learner, ability to work independently
Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Exposure to Software Development Cycle – Preferably, SAFe Agile based delivery model
