Philips Software Technologist I in Bangalore, India


In this role, you have the opportunity to

Healthcare Integration implementation services between Philips products and customer systems using an Integration Engine and/or custom interoperability solutions.

You are responsible for

  • Understanding and analyzing customer project requirements and configuring/developing/customizing HL7 interfaces

  • Work cross-functionally to install/upgrade/migrate Philips IntelliBridge Enterprise integration engine (Orion Rhapsody) on premise or on the cloud for multiple Philips products and its customers.

  • Working with Philips Internal BIUs/Customers with first-half overlap of US hours depending on customer and project requirements on need basis.

  • Be part of projects that require custom interoperability solutions development, on need basis

You are a part of

Enterprise Integrated Solutions is an Enabling Platform hosted within the BG HI having a Philips-wide scope and supervision. The Solution Delivery function within the EIS is a Services Organization (formerly hosted within the Healthcare Transformation Services) and has been in existence for over 2.5 years now – offering a variety of Healthcare IT services and solutions, helping Philips Businesses, Markets and Customers in addressing their needs and challenges.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Healthcare Domain

  • Sound knowledge of HL7 standards (HL7 v2.x, v3, FHIR, CCD, CDA etc.)

  • Good knowledge of HIS, EMR or Lab Information System and their workflows

  • At least 4 years of hands-on working knowledge on one or more integration engines (Ex: RHAPSODY/MIRTH/ENSEMBLE/CERNER etc.) or ESBs

  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript

  • Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages

  • Knowledge on any one database and hands on in SQL

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills including analysis, preparation, and presentation of information.

  • Must possess the ability and willingness to adapt and learn quickly

  • Must work well under stress and easily handle conflicting priority requests

Preferred Skills (at least 2):

  • HL7 Certified

  • Orion Rhapsody

  • Java / .NET

  • MS SQL / PostgreSQL / MySQL – experience utilizing SQL, including writing and running queries, to analyze data
