Features driven development in an agile approach
Actively participates in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives and backlog refinement. Contributes to continuous improvement of the team, software and processes
Designs, codes, documents, tests (automated), maintains and deploys software
Supports DevOps in deploying software
Sets, monitors and ensures to meet own performance metrics
Defines, monitors and meets performance and quality metrics
Provides technical solutions that conform to requirements with a strong focus on end-users, high quality (QMS/regulatory standards), performance, safety and security
Keeps abreast of technical knowledge by studying and implementing state-of-the-art programming techniques and development tools, participating in educational opportunities, participating in communities of practice, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks
Challenges requirements, design and quality, focused on technical leadership. Leads the creation of the software design
Recognized technical expert within the team on specific areas
Skills & Experience:
At least 6+ years of software development experience using and an aptitude and love to apply cutting edge UI frameworks (NodeJs, ReactJS, AngularJS, etc)
Good knowledge of JSP / Servlets; Web Frameworks like Struts / Spring
Service Oriented Architecture / Web Services – SOAP / REST
Markup Languages like XML and JSON
Deep understanding of Object Oriented patterns and principles
Good knowledge of usability principles, cross-browser compatibility, and HTML document architectures
Strong Data structures fundamentals.
Experience in working with Lean / agile software development
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Experience in Software craftsmanship - best in class code quality practices
Experience improving web latency in complex large scale deployments
Knowledge of basic healthcare standards and protocols (e.g. Dicom, HL7) is desired
Knowledge of AWS technology stacks and services (S3, Glacier, Vault, RDS; HSDP IAM) is desired
Knowledge on SSL, SSO, Oauth2 is desired
