Philips Software Technologist I in Bangalore, India

You will be part of The Neuro-diagnostics business designs, which develops and commercializes a range of non-invasive neuro-diagnostic products used to monitor and interpret brain activity. A key component of these products is Philips's proprietary dense array electroencephalography (dEEG) platform technology. The dense array method gathers brain activity data from many more electrodes (up to 256) than conventional EEG products, generating significantly higher quality and more precise levels of information. With regulatory clearance in the US, EU and a number of other major international regulatory bodies, the technology has been increasingly adopted as a powerful research tool and more recently as a cost effective and patient friendly clinical neuro-diagnostic platform.

The business is expanding its R&D team by setting up a team in PIC initially focused on building Neurology Information System, patient data management, workflow applications and Neurology services hosted on the cloud based on HSDP. The team will be responsible for complete product development from requirements, design, implementation and verification..

You are responsible for:

  • Develop new user-facing features

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

  • Identify and retire technical risks through prototypes and feasibility studies

  • Review design and code and test specifications

  • Participate and drive continuous improvement practices

  • Proficient with Multiple Front End technologies (like WPF, Win Form , QT)

Client application development (Front End Developer)

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in building enterprise class/production applications using Web technologies (JavaScript/HTML, SPAs, React, AngularJS)

  • Experience using technologies like Emscripten and WebAssembly (Wasm) and building graphics, visualization applications using WebGL is preferred

  • Experience in working with tools like Maven, Jenkins and Continuous Integration/deployment environments is preferred
