The Neuro-diagnostics business designs , develops and commercializes a range of non-invasive neuro-diagnostic products used to monitor and interpret brain activity. A key component of these products is Philips's proprietary dense array electroencephalography (dEEG) platform technology. The dense array method gathers brain activity data from many more electrodes (up to 256) than conventional EEG products, generating significantly higher quality and more precise levels of information. With regulatory clearance in the US, EU and a number of other major international regulatory bodies, the technology has been increasingly adopted as a powerful research tool and more recently as a cost effective and patient friendly clinical neuro-diagnostic platform.

The business is expanding its R&D team by setting up a team in PIC initially focused on building Neurology Information System, patient data management, workflow applications and Neurology services hosted on the cloud based on HSDP. The team will be responsible for complete product development from requirements, design, implementation and verification.
