Philips SW Technologist II in Bangalore, India

  • Plan and create functional, integration and end-to-end test cases

  • Work closely with the PO and Architect to understand how customers use the services and come up with Testing Strategy

  • Create and update automated test tools to meet product needs with regards to functionality, performance, scalability and security

  • Execute tests and generate test reports as part of release

  • Troubleshoot integration and production issues in product services

  • Work collaboratively in an SAFe Agile/Scrum teams

  • 8+ years of experience in Testing (Functional, white box and performance testing)

  • Strong experience in testing REST based APIs with SOAPUI (Should be able to quickly ramp up on existing scripts and develop new tests)

  • Basic knowledge in Python and other scripting languages

  • Understand and improve quality metrics

On the basis of his/her professional specialisation, makes a substantial contribution to the innovation of product and process. Develops new products, using the latest technologies and resources, often realising systems based on unverified specifications.

You are responsible for

  • Performs the role of an Automation / Manual Test engineer

  • Performs a role of tester by execution of test cases automated/manual

  • Converting the test protocols into automated scripts for execution

  • Compliance to processes and quality management system

  • Ensure technical & testing documentation is kept up to date and audit ready

  • Analyzing & understanding assigned requirements to develop appropriate test protocols

  • Enhance the test framework as appropriate to ensure coverage of new product functionality

  • Maintain the Test Lab by automating the product installation , test setup , software related maintenance

  • Reporting the test automation status esp. execution status on a regular basis

  • Pro-actively co-ordinate and collaborate with different stake holders for different stages of development life cycle of the project.

The Healthcare IT – Common Apps (HIT-CA) organization is involved in creating a Comprehensive Data Management Solution and an Integrated backend . The 10 4 -member team headquartered in Bangalore is currently engaged in delivering future-proof innovations , building multi-ology capabilities and advanced capabilities in the Healthcare IT space. One such program is the Universal Data Manage r solution announced at HIMSS, which provides the core for a harmonized data infrastructure for all our Informatics products. This solution would be developed on the iSite and HSDP based common backend. As we migrate the other products (ISCV and Portal) to the common backend, we will start to realize a large number of benefits for our customers – eg. Single sign on, a longitudinal patient record across products, enterprise interoperability and scalability, harmonized performance and security, common serviceability tools and features, etc. We are continuously working on integrating applicable HSDP components and enriching UDM to make a better value proposition to our customer.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Exposure to both automation on Black box level (UI based) and Component Level (Interface level) , Framework

  • Exposure to Continuous Integration, Unit Testing

  • Exposure to healthcare standards (DICOM, HL7, IHE) and regulations.

  • Experience in SOAP UI; desired

  • Experience in automation on Win 32 & Web applications.

  • Test case design & Execution and Defect Management

  • Exposure to Agile

  • Expertise in Functional test automation tool , nUnit/JUnit and experience designing and developing tool architecture

  • Expertise in Test Management tool like TFS will be added advantage

  • Strong Investigation, Analytical and Problem Solving skills
