The role of Demand Planning is to build the business forecast within the Market based on insights and assumptions and to identify any gaps in achieving the targets
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Manage the Demand Planning process for respective businesses and or Customer Planning Groups
Maintain the demand plan for respective business and or Customer Planning Groups and ensure timely updates for meetings and business planning snapshots
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Finance to achieve the sales, marketing and/or consensus forecast as input for the CFRM, BIM and MLM meetings
Collect input for phase-in/out & promotions and manage the underlying process for the market and/or customers
Review and analyse historical sales trends, sell out, stock in-trade, research demand drivers, prepare forecast analytics and evaluate forecast results
Lead conversation with relevant counterparts, propose forecast adjustments and challenge assumptions underpinning input
Support all relevant functions in creating and communicating gap closing scenarios
Support all relevant functions in preparing, planning, communicating and revising forecast for Customer Forecast Review Meeting, Business Integration Meeting and/or Market Leadership meeting. Adjust forecasts based on meeting outputs
To succeed in the role, you must possess the below:
University degree in relevant field
APICS CPIM Certification or training highly advantageous
3-5 years’ experience in Demand Planning or Supply Chain environment
Experience in Supply Chain Management or in a planning role either further upstream (supply centres, factories) or downstream (retail)
Experienced working in a cross functional organization
Familiar with ERP and advanced planning tools, preferable SAP and JDA
Good communication in both English and local languages
