RDT’s portfolio of comprehensive connected emergency care solutions will complement Philips’ Therapeutic Care business and strengthen its leadership position in the EUR 1.4 billion resuscitation and emergency care market. Moreover, RDT will strengthen Philips’ ability to innovate, drive digital transformation in healthcare, and enter new markets.

RDT was already a world leader in the area of remote vital signs monitoring. The company’s products are medical monitoring devices used in remote locations, including: Military, pre-hospital, aircraft/in-flight, yachts, and other. This job, within the technical team, is an engineering role to assist the company in its development of new products as well as working to maintain the design of the existing product line.

You are responsible for:

The role of Production Support Engineer is to act as their subcontract manufacturers technical support for their released product portfolio.

• Supporting subcontracted production to resolve technical issues which are hindering production.

• Creating / managing ‘change requests’ from the subcontractors

• Managing EOL components and their replacements

• Supporting implementing and planning of changes to production

• Running projects to improve production efficiency, reliability and cost reduction.

• Design, creation & maintenance of test jig and production equipment

• Investigating/resolving ‘goods in’ quality issues

You are a part of:

Philips new, exciting acquisition: RDT are a leading innovator of advanced solutions for the pre-hospital market providing monitoring, cardiac therapy and data management.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

• An Electronics degree from an accredited University

• Previous proven experience in system engineering and testing or related area

• Experience working with sub-contracted manufacturing

• Experience working with large volume electronic device manufacturing

• Strong working knowledge and experience of electronic systems and production techniques

• Highly PC literate, experienced in Word/Excel etc

• Strong analytical, test and hardware debugging skills

• Ability to logically troubleshoot complex technical issues

• Demonstrable organizational and project management skills

• A good eye for detail
