Philips Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Co-ordinator to join our Purchasing team in Basingstoke. This team works with internal and external stakeholders to create Purchase Orders, which obtain materials, goods & supplies to allow us to meet our manufacturing demand.
This is 12 month Fixed Term Contract. The salary is in the region of £20,000-£25,000 but we could pay more
In this role, you have the opportunity to support the Purchasing Manager to ensure on-time delivery of all stock options and ensuring that we have minimum stock levels to fulfill our orders. This will include
Creating purchase orders in order to obtain materials, goods and supplies to meet manufacturing demand.
Liaising with suppliers to expedite delivery of Materials on open PO’s
Reviewing defined stocking levels to address any shortfalls and working with colleagues and suppliers to manage the supply chain, resolving any associated problem or queries
Supplier performance reporting
Maintain integrity and accuracy of all data in the systems
Good Administrative skills, ideally with a history in Purchasing and raising Purchase Orders
PC Literate – Good understanding of Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas etc)
Exposure to an ERP system
Excellent telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Organized, able to multi-task & attention to detail is paramount
Enthusiastic and Pro-active
Discreet with sensitive/confidential information
