Be part of Philips and their newly acquired Remote Diagnostic Technologies (RDT) business, a UK-based leading innovator of advanced solutions for the pre-hospital market providing monitoring, cardiac therapy and data management. RDT’s portfolio of comprehensive connected emergency care solutions will complement Philips’ Therapeutic Care business and strengthen its leadership position in the EUR 1.4 billion resuscitation and emergency care market. Moreover, RDT will strengthen Philips’ ability to innovate, drive digital transformation in healthcare, and enter new markets.
You are responsible for:
Leading cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement risk control measures, and document a robust and living Risk Management File for RDT’s products and accessories. This will include facilitating the creation of both top-down and bottom-up risk management tools, assessments, processes, and principles, including FMEAs. Conducting analysis of existing similar products from the company and competitor products to provide documented compliance and evidence of State of the Art, as part of periodic risk management file updates. Assure products meet regulatory requirements for risk management, including FDA QSR, MDD, EU MDR, CMDR, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and RDT’s procedures.
Manage and document a robust and living Risk Management File for RDT’s products and accessories
Lead cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement risk control measures for new and existing products
Reporting on progress and issues to the Director of R&D
Assure products meet regulatory requirements for risk management
Creating and maintaining Risk Management File and traceability of verification/validation of risk control measures for changes to existing products
You are a part of:

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
An Engineering degree from an accredited University.
Previous experience of Quality Assurance, Design Engineering, Systems Engineering, Post Market Surveillance, or related experience in a highly regulated industry
Hands on experience with ISO 14971.
Highly PC literate, experienced in Word/Excel etc.
Strong understanding of risk management requirements, tools, methodologies, and processes, including use of a variety of accepted methods.
Good technical knowledge/understanding of both electronics and mechanical design along with software.
