Our product is a comprehensive web-based image analysis platform designed for use in research settings.
As an Automated Test Engineer for the Analytics Suite product development team, your key challenge is to use exciting new technology to make an impact in the fight against cancer.
Your responsibilities in a nutshell:
Configuration, maintenance and management of test environments
Analysing user stories and contributing to the acceptance criteria
Producing automated tests, with clear expected results
Test execution and capturing of test results
Contribution and improvement to the automated test framework
Debugging of issues - Working closely with the scrum team to investigate test failures
Input to test meetings and sign off reports
Training and mentoring of test automation best practices
Escalating to the test lead any issue that may impact on the delivery of testing on time, on budget or to the required quality standard.
Any other reasonable duties as required by Management

The Automated Test Engineer will report directly to the Test Verification Lead and will be based in the Northern Ireland Science Park in Belfast.
To be a successful Automated Test Engineer you will have the following:
A degree related to software development, professional certification in software testing or relevant industry experience.
A minimum of 1 years’ commercial experience within a test automation role
Experience of testing commercial software products within an agile environment
Experience contributing to an automated test framework
Knowledge of Gherkin syntax
Experience utilising BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, Specflow or similar
Understanding of page object design pattern
Strong programming skills in at least one object orientated programming language.

Hard working, disciplined, self-motivated and focused.
Capable of showing initiative and working with autonomy in a flexible environment
Eligible to work in the UK
The following skills are desirable but not essential:
Exposure to Web technologies (Web APIs & services)
Experience with SQL databases and queries
Experience with object orientated programming languages such as Java or C#
